During the
50's Hann Trier began to paint in the style he maintained through his
whole later work: Holding in each hand a brush, he led them across the
picture's surface in his so-called "choreographic brushstrokes"
corresponding to each other at the same time. By these means he
emphasized the process of painting and created arabesque-like soul
landscapes with mostly honeycombed structures and harmonious color
processes.
